Welcome                                                    site updated 7 Nov 2012

As this site grows I hope to show the development of the post within the county of Lanarkshire from the earliest times up to the end of the 20th century. This will take time but I hope it will be a source of reference for other collectors and will show the different material which can be included in an inland county postal history collection. All items illustrated will be from my collection or from the proof books unless otherwise noted. The illustrations on this page are from the handout from my display "The Postal History of Lanarkshire from 1840
