to Battle with Uckfield datestamp on reverse and with the scarce village
type MAYFIELD/PENNY POST as Willcocks SX866 but measuring 33 x 15 mm and
also two years earlier than recorded.

"scratch through POSTAGE", the cover also has a strike of the
very scarce village type "West Burton/Penny Post"

London to Brighton, the letter has been opened then refolded and sent to
Farnham where the FARNHAM defaced Mileage was applied Willcocks 295. A
little toned at the edges but an interesting item.

letter London to Peru manuscript "Pr Packet" with London
PAID datestamp for 2nd February and a postal rate of "4/-". This
letter would have been carried by R.M.S. Tay from Southampton on 9th Feb,
arriving at Buenos Aires on 21 March, then sent overland to Peru. A nice
trans Atlantic cover.
